Ronald A. Nagel, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Ron Nagel is a double board certified physician in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His pediatric residency was at Einstein and Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx followed by a two-year pediatric endocrine fellowship at UCLA Medical Center after moving back to Los Angeles.“Dr. Nagel Bagel,” as his patients fondly call him, has been in private practice in the Los Angeles area for nearly three decades. In addition to his pediatric practice, he lectures medical students and residents as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he has been awarded 8 Golden Apple Teaching Awards by the hospital “house staff.” He previously served as president of the Los Angeles Pediatric Society, and presently coordinates their continuing medical education program. Dr Nagel has been featured in the annual listing of Southern California “Superdoctors” by Los Angeles Magazine for the past seven years.
Ron lives in Beverlywood with his wife Cheryl for over 35 years, and is the proud father of four sons. In addition to medicine, Ron has a wide array of interests including star gazing, stamp collecting, and close up magic.
Judith G. Weiner, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Judith Weiner is native to Los Angeles. She completed her medical school training at UCLA, graduating with honors in 1985. During her medical school tenure, she received the MERCK Manual Award for academic excellence. In 1988, she completed her pediatric residency training at the busy county Harbor-UCLA medical center where she gained extensive experience thru exposure to a wide variety of complex cases. After residency, Dr. Weiner worked as a general pediatrician in the South Bay and Santa Monica areas. She joined La Peer Pediatrics in 1995 and became a partner in 1996.Dr. Weiner has been on staff at Cedars Sinai Medical Center since 1990, where she provides inpatient care to hospitalized patients. She has an active commitment as a teaching staff physician to the training of UCLA-Cedars Sinai pediatric residents.
As a graduate of UCLA’s School of Medicine, she has remained in the Los Angeles area dedicating herself to educating parents and children thru compassionate and comprehensive care. She follows many of her patients from infancy through adulthood.
Dr. Weiner works closely with an extensive network of specialists and other doctors in the community to provide that comprehensive care. She has been honored by her peers and received special recognition as a top Southern California physician every year since 2008. She has been featured in Los Angeles Magazine as a Southern California Super Doctor. She was honored as one of the region’s top woman physicians in the 2011 Southern California Women’s Super Doctors list.
Dr. Weiner has been happily married to her health psychologist husband for more than 16 years. As a devoted mother of two girls, Dr. Weiner successfully manages the rigors of private practice and motherhood.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Weiner enjoys jewelry making, exercise, and travel to exotic places.
Kimberly Z. Diamond, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Diamond, board certified in pediatrics, has been in private practice here at La Peer Pediatrics since 1996. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and then came west to the UCLA School of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was done at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she regularly rounds on her patients and participates in teaching the pediatric residents. Dr. Diamond was named one of Hollywood’s Top Doctors by the Hollywood Reporter in 2015. She is happily married and the proud mother of three children. Dr. Diamond feels honored that she can play a small part in so many families as their children grow up.
Lauren R. Crosby, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Lauren Crosby is a nationally-recognized parenting expert and pediatrician. After graduating from Smith College and the UCLA School of Medicine, she trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center during which time she served as Chief Resident. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an Official Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a Pediatric Expert for television news, serves on the Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and is a Founding Member of Hope in A Suitcase. She is currently in practice at La Peer Pediatrics as well as the mother of two sons.
Autumn Shurin, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Shurin, a native of Kansas City, MO, earned her undergraduate degree at Bates College in Maine, where she was awarded the Pomeroy Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate in Medicine. She earned her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Shurin has an interest in travel, including a six-month stay in Botswana where she tracked baboons, and clinical experience in both Australia and Costa Rica. She was also part of a humanitarian trip to help out several orphanages in Minsk. Since 2003, she has worked at various private practices throughout Los Angeles and in the Urgent Care Center at St. Joseph’s in Burbank. She joined La Peer Pediatrics in May 2009. Life became very exciting in October 2010 when she became a mother of twins.

Jessica Vora, RN, MSN, Certified Nurse Practitioner
Jessica Vora, a Florida native, completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She worked for over 6 years at Florida Hospital for Children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) caring for critically-ill infants before becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
As a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, Jessica has worked in private Pediatric practices in Chicago, IL and West Palm Beach, Florida before coming to Los Angeles. Jessica has an interest in newborn care, women’s health and preventative care. Jessica met her husband, a local Pediatrician, while on a volunteer medical trip to Kenya in 2013. They married in 2018 and now live in Sherman Oaks with their two rescue cats. Along with her husband, she enjoys traveling, live music and local theatre.
